Two Cents is an exclusive online community comprised of people from Colorado that are willing to give their opinions about a variety of topics and share them with the Colorado Lottery. As technology advances, the Lottery needs to stay relevant with players of all ages and demographics so it enlists the support of Coloradans, just like you. With your feedback, we believe that we will gain what is needed to successfully develop various innovative solutions.

To be eligible to participate in Two Cents, you'll need to complete a 10-15 minute survey. We'll ask you some questions to see if you qualify since we need to meet certain requirements. (For example, we want an even distribution of men and women participating.) Once this survey has been completed, we'll send you a confirmation email. You must click on the link in the confirmation email in order to begin receiving surveys and earning great rewards. To join us, simply click on the Join Now page.

No. Participation is free. In fact, you will earn rewards for your participation.

If you forget your password, go to the Home page on this Website; click on the ‘Forgot password?' link and enter your email address to request a new password.

For each study, you will receive an invitation by email to participate. Simply click on the link in the email, or copy and paste the URL website address into your browser window. Then follow the instructions on the screen to complete the survey or poll. The survey link will also appear on the community website under the "My Surveys" page. You can take surveys from a computer, cell phone or tablet.

On average, you'll be sent a survey invitation about once or twice per month. There will also be polls posted to the site every so often, as well as an occasional new discussion forum for you to participate in. You are welcome to take part in as many surveys and discussion forums as you like.

On average, our surveys are approximately 10-15 minutes; however, some can be as short as 5 minutes and others can be longer than 15 minutes. All surveys and activities are completely voluntary and we let you know the approximate length of the survey in the invitation so you can plan accordingly. Surveys can be stopped and restarted later from where you left off if you are unable to complete it in one sitting.

Yes, community members can opt-out by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the website to cancel their membership. Alternatively, members can submit a request via the Contact Us form or send an email to support@twocentscolorado.com with the word "Unsubscribe" in the subject line. When a community member Unsubscribes, the ability to redeem Points will immediately cease and any Points that have been accumulated will immediately be taken out of the account.

As a member of Two Cents, you may receive different types of compensation depending on the type of research you participate in. For most surveys and activities, you will be awarded points that can be redeemed for gift certificates after you have accumulated a minimum number of 500 points. For other projects you may receive a product to try or some other compensation such as an entry into a sweepstakes or contest. Our invitation for each survey or other activity will inform you what the compensation will be.

Some of our activities allow you to earn a specified number of points.

You can collect points for each of the activities you participate in:

  • Weekly polls – 10 points.
  • 5-15 minute Surveys – 75 - 150 points.
  • Discussion Boards – 25 points per post (Based on quality & frequency of participation; up to 5 posts a month).
  • Other activities – we will let you know how many points you can earn when we invite you to special activities.

Note, points value may change. We'll always let you know when this happens.

There is no limit to the number of points you can earn.

Yes, reward points will expire after 24 months.

We collect some personal data about each member for a number of reasons:

  • It enables us to contact you about research (i.e. surveys, discussion forums and/ or poll questions) you can take part in and to also let you know if you've won a prize for your participation.
  • It enables us to contact you with surveys that are specifically relevant to you and your lifestyle.
  • It helps us to analyze the survey data by different categories such as gender, age or the region consumers live in.

Don't worry – it will not be possible for any individual respondent to be identified from the results. Your responses will be combined with all other members and will only be used for research purposes.
